Card Condition Guide

Understanding Single Card Conditions

When evaluating trading cards, we refer to established condition standards to ensure consistency and fairness. Card condition reflects a combination of visible wear from play, handling, and storage, as well as any structural issues.

Condition Description Typical Examples
Near Mint (NM) Almost unplayed, very minimal wear. Clean and flat, minor edge or surface marks only. Slight edge wear, tiny surface marks
Lightly Played (LP) Minor signs of use, but still in good overall condition. Light edge whitening, small scuffs, minor scratches
Moderately Played (MP) Visible wear from handling or play. Shows more noticeable edge wear, scratches, or minor creases. Noticeable edge wear, minor bends, surface wear
Heavily Played (HP) Significant wear or visible handling marks. Card is still identifiable but heavily worn. Heavy edge whitening, deep scratches, multiple creases
Damaged (DMG) Severely worn or structurally compromised. May affect playability or authenticity. Major creases, tears, water damage, heavy staining

Note:

  • Centering: Card centering does not affect its condition in our store.
  • PSA Grading: We do not guarantee PSA 10 (GEM MINT) cards. Our Near Mint rating corresponds to PSA 7 or higher.
